Red Dale landing gear

Hello to all,,I am in the process of restoring an older Red Dale 5th wheel and need some words of wisdom on the landing gear. The left side jack has stopped moving up or down. After some looking into it, I saw where the roll pin that goes thru the vertical shaft had broken and was not letting the vertical gear rotate.
the jack assembly is a 2" square tubing housing that appears to be held in place with just two 3/8" bolts. I'm thinking I am going to remove both of the jacks completely and do a through disassembly and re-grease of the gears and the verticle threaded rod.
Does anybody know who may carry replacement parts for this type jack? I cannot see any tags or anything on either jack to see what model etc it may be.
Can anybody help?????????THANKS for any help Joe

Hi Joe,

The jacks seem to be a common type used for a lot of 5th wheels. The pin you mention broken is also common. Just a standard roll pin you can pick up most anywhere. Can be replaced in place in some if you can get at the top of the jack. Been there done that. If the gears are good then you should be good to go after replacing pin, grease things up too.

There are a few RV part wholesale places in IN and MI White Pidgeon for one. They would have some parts for these jacks or maybe even new replacements if you need. Prices are real cheap.
