remove couch

We have a 2008 Mobile Suites, 38RLSB3. We want to remove the couch. I've read other posts about removing the hide a bed mechanism before taking out the couch, which makes sense. But is it possible to remove the back of the couch also? We want to take it out the door as easily as possible. Thanks for your help!

Cindy

We removed ours by standing it upright, so the back was at the entry door, rotated the couch into the door way. Then as it was about 1/2 through the door, brought the door side slide in and that gave the room needed to rotate the couch all the way out. With the slide out in the out position we could not get through the door way, needed that extra space to rotate. My wife and I did it. Other that removing the cushions, it was intact.

We took out the large Elite Sofabed in our 36TK3. Didn't have to move the slide in or out, but did need some very strong guys to help.

All we did was take off cushions and tie down the bed frame so it wouldn't pop open. Slid it across upright the floor and twisted and dropped it out the door.

When we traded it off, the dealer installed a smaller couch and they tore the top on the metal door latch. So you might want to tape over that if you haven't already torn it apart.

We have a 2008 36TK3 and needed to take the sofa bed couch out to clean the carpeting. We have the standard (shorter) couch, I think 76” or so. Took the mattress out of the sofa bed and removed the casters. Tied the bed frame to the couch to prevent it from opening up.
Raised the couch into vertical position and took it out. No problems, didn’t need to do anything with the slides.
