Flat lander beware

You’re going to be driving some serious mountain grades in extreme heat. Number one, you better have enough truck for the job.
Number two, do not rely on your GPS. Get a paper map of every state your going to drive and study it daily. Use the GPS as a guide but if it says to turn and you don’t remember it from your map, pull over and verify.
Number three, map out your fuel stops daily. I use the app, Allstays camp and rv. I think it was 10 bucks. I set my filters to show only Loves, Pilot, Flying J, etc. I look for fuel between 200 and 250 miles away then zoom in using the satellite view to see what the entrance and exits look like. There’s nothing worse than turning into the wrong entrance and getting trapped or missing the entrance on a two lane road.
Northern Arizona and southern Utah are phenomenally beautiful. Plan time to stop a lot just to look around.
I hope you found my advice helpful and not just obnoxious.
Phil
