The quick connect is for ease of connecting. Maybe connect it early evening , then off prior to bedtime. Every body I have heard about also uses an on/off valve prior to the end termination as an additional safety measure. I had DRV put such a connection under the door side storage area for use with a outdoor grill when the unit was built. Thanks for the comment.
