Been towing since 1978 a trailer of some sort, never had a wheel failure. Consider biting the bullet and get 4 new ones...what about the other 2 that are left?
I had a 2005 36TK3--changed the 16s to 17.5s, new wheels/tires. If you are going to get new wheels, going to the 17.5 wheels/tires should solve any future problems.
