Just for grins, turn Zone 2 off, and switch over to Zone 1. 1 is the living area, 2 is the bedroom. If it still doesn't work, it isn't the electricity source.
I think each AC is on a different leg of the 50a service--make sure none of the breakers are tripped.
After all this, and still not working, may be a capacitor--maybe time for a mobile tech.
