Ref the vent covers over Fantastic fans, I tried to install some on ours, and it did interfere (not allowing it to open fully).
I was also told that the covers restrict airflow so much that if installed, don't run the ran above low speed, same goes for the create a breeze fan. It could burn them out?? Not sure how true this is, but it made some sense.
So I opted to leave them off for now. The rain sensor works fine.
