Since you only have one AC, and it is a heat pump, you are needing to stay out of 90+ heat and 35 - cold----your heat pump is an air-to-air mechanism, and if the available air is too hot or too cold, they just can't keep up. Perhaps a small 110 space AC would help you survive.
