OB, It is listed as a heat pump and I believe that it operates as one by reversing the function (or flow of heat) of the A/C unit.
To quote Dave in an earlier post:
"It is always a heat pump. In one mode it is pumping heat out of the RV into the outside air and in the other mode it is pumping heat from the outside air into the RV."
