First of all, check to see it your coach is equipped with an inverter which is for running the fridge off of the batteries. If there is not an inverter, as long as the refrigerator doors are kept closed and you don't travel for much more than 6 hours, I would think you would be OK. Most refrigerators keep things cool for a spell as long as the doors are kept closed.

If you do have an inverter, just switch over onto the inverter while you are unhooked from shore power. If you are traveling, I'd think that the tow vehicle would help keep your batteries up so that you didn't have to worry too much about running out of battery power.
