Glenn,
There are many theories about this--I think best is to place wood/plastic between tires and surface. Keep them aired fully--do not let them deflate and bulge out sidewalls. I guess a case could be made for getting all the trailer weight off the tires for such a length of time, by using jackstands under the frame rails.
