I installed my fold-a-cover and it was no big deal. Straps are used to keep the panels from rubbing against one another and mine has been in use for two years and no problems in that regard.
There is a new cover on the market called the Advance Cover that is made by the guy that started the Fold-a-cover and he has changed the design a little. Apparently, from what I read, it is a little cheaper. Their web site is
