I did the push pull wheel bearing test when RV was new and then greased using the ZERK and AMZ/OIL grease having someone rotate the tire while I pumped grease into the spindle and when red grease was coming out the front I wiped up the excess and replaced the cap. Wash Rinse Repeat every year and never opened it up.

When I pulled it all apart to start over from the spindle out with Timken bearings, National Seals, new rotors, new EBC yellow pads and new calipers the bearings and races looked new.

I run 17,500# on my two axles. I also never had one spec of grease coming past the seal.

This is simply an Old Wives tail. Unless you use the wrong or junk seals and use an electric grease gun.
