The Harmony is probably the best remote to come around in years, we have the Harmony 880 and control our entire stereo and home theatre system including a PC with Windows media center with it. Eight remotes are retired forever to a spare drawer. BUT it is infrared meaning things need to be able to be pointed at.
Having components in other rooms, around corners etc will dictate radio frequency or other infrared extending gadgets.
Don't blame the poor little Harmony, it's trying it's hardest to see what you have!
