I can't give you specific answers to your specific questions, but here is a "general" idea. When we ordered our 2010 Mobile Suites, we ordered the factory installed receiver hitch. It was rated at 300 pounds of tongue weight and I think 3000 pounds of tow weight. That said, I think your 250 pounds would be OK, although with the extra length of the "hitch," it might get kind of iffy.
