Jim, I'm not suggesting that DRV address these back cap problems on ANY forum, that would be totally inappropriate! What I AM suggesting is hopefully they MONITOR (NOT RESPOND) the forum to keep abreast of problems especially major defects like the issue of this thread!
Hopefully Porthole gets this problem solved as do others with this issue! It took DRV a while to realize they were using substandard cylinders for their front landing gear and re-designed those. A lot of people had their front legs corrected by Lippert at no additional cost to them. We were in that group and thanfkful for Lippert stepping up to the plate and making that situation right!
At some point DRV introduced a much more robust set of landing gear and THAT issue went away.
