I changed out the old Sony in our 36TK with a 32" Vizio HD LCD. Has been working just fine, sits on the same swivel/pullout that the Sony was on. Could have gone bigger if I wanted to turn the TV in sideways to put it back in. I had heard about the heavy Sonys causing the shelf to collapse, so I opted to change TVs before it happened.
I have it bungeed to a bar I installed between the side walls for travel, and cover it with a big towel.
