Two things about the bikes on the back, the factory hitch rack has been known to fall off (hitch itself) ask Mike, Motor 31 Maybe if the hitch was reinforced so it would hold together better??

The second thing is the ladder racks, the wt of the bikes rip the ladders apart in short order. These ladders are barely strong enough for the occasional climb!! There have been several posts about this happening.

These reasons may be why many have gone to mounting them on the front. The one Judy posted looks great! Also See Bruce's, Bstark photos. I think he made one.
