Forgot to say both failed the same way. Cracked in the valve stem area. I also have been towing from the early 70's. Never had rim fail or leak. On my 2003 Teton I did change to 17.5 tires and wheels because of tire failure.
Nine to be exact. 17.5 tires fixed that problem.
