As you can see by my signature, I have the 05 GMC with the D/A and I get 12 to 14 mpg towing and 20+ empty. Prior to the 05 I had an 03 Silverado with the same D/A Combo giving me the same mpg. With the 03 and the 05 D/As I have all the power I need for pulling the hills and with the Tow/Haul Mode all the braking I need for coming down the other side. We are Full Timers and put on 15,000 to 20,000 miles per year. About 1/3 of that is towing the 5er. I personally feel that it is a huge waste of money adding a chip, reprograming or the Banks system to any Chevy or GMC with the D/A Combo. There's an old saying..."If it ain't broke, don't fix it"
