Anytime I am hooked to shore power I run the Cheap Heat and YES even at CA prices I am saving $$$ and frequent trips to fill tanks.

Our new house has a heat pump with a propane furnace backup. All the data supplied on the units uses suggests that using the electric portion of the heat is less expensive then then propane, along with a more even comfort level since there is no warm up cool down mode when on electric.
"CheapHeat" is a misnomer, you can buy a lot of propane for the cost of the kit and installation. But, I like it and will have it in the next rig if suitable.
