I had the same thing happen in a RV park. We set up and plugged in. After about 20 minutes the AC and ceiling fan quit. It turned out one of the breakers in the 50 amp plug had died and one leg of the plug was getting no power. Nice to know that both AC units are on the same leg of the power cord. I really don't know how it keeps from overloading the breaker in a power box when both are on but it works. It seems to me that one should be on each leg to spread the load out a bit.
