Layne, I believe the individual that designed the intertainment systems for DT had just enough electronics experience and knowledge to be dangerous. Many and I repeat many (not all) units from DT have had some problems with their video/sound systems. I'm speaking of units built in 2005 and prior, the're a nightmare to try and figure out. If, as you say, you're not electronic saavy, then I would suggest that you hire an RF expert to help you clean up DT's mess. I had to spend several days getting my 36 RE3 wired to work satisfactorily, and I'm still not real happy with it. Good luck..
