Try to bleed the gas by turning on all the stove burners for a couple min. Then try fridge again. If you listen real close you can hear the clicking of the ignition and then a puff when the gas lights.

If no joy, try tapping the gas valve in case there is a bit of debris in valve it may free up.

That is the first thing to try. If it does light but goes out, could be a component or poor gas pressure. I had a regulator fail with low press 3yrs old. It showed up on the furnace op though.
