Bruce, I agree. And mine in fact exhibited an erratic behavior before failure. I was able to restart and get to the garage before it quit completely as I was about a mile from there. I was fully expecting it's failure at some point, because I was aware of the problem and it's symptoms.

I too applaud them for "finally" stepping up to the plate. It has been common knowledge for a long time that this problem existed, I guess it finally became apparent that it could be extremely hazardous if it happened at an inopportune time during a driving event.

I fully expect that at some point down the road we will see a recall on the Ford "Integrated Brake Controller" (IBC).

JMO - everyone has one. Having said that, I still would buy another Ford, because of the "Big Three", IMO they still make the best "truck"
