Ram 5500 Insurance

Just ordered a Ram 5500 with a Luxe Hauler Body. A bit of a shock when I found out that USAA does not insure private vehicles over 14,000 lb GVWR. The Ram 5500 is at 19,500 lbs GVWR.

Who are you...

Thank you. This is what I’ve been looking for. Facts.

Looks like your pin weight is 4,520 lbs, which is about right if DRV says the dry weight is 4,400 lbs.

Got to hand it to Ford, that light...

Thanks, however I believe the fulcrum is forward of the wheels on these. If it were at the middle axel, it would sit level without the front jacks down. Your point is valid though. And as we both...

Thanks. Unfortunately the F450 actually has less payload than a F350 with the same 14,000 GVWR. What the F450 does have, is the best turning radius out there along with the best power in its class.

That sounds about right. I realize that I don't get the whole weight. Just looking for actuals on a JX450. The layout of this trailer is really against you in a lot of ways. First, it's only a...

JX450 Pin Weight

We just made a deposit on a 2021 JX450. A little apprehensive about the pin weight. I talked to DRV and they claim the unloaded pin weight is 4,400 pounds. Seems a bit heavy. That said, a 1,250...

Anderson Valve Issues

We have a 2020 Mobile Suites 36RKSB. Twice now, the fresh water tank has overfilled while the Anderson valve was supposedly in the "City Fixtures" position .

Just left the factory service center with this issue, or so it seems. They are not letting anyone in the shop, so it's hard to say, but it was clear that most of the screws holding the cap in place...

Very true but the only things I can adjust are the pin box height and the pivot arm (hitch) height.

If MORryde would make a plate with a different hole pattern I could likely solve my problem. ...

You are correct about the holes and the plate. Tried several variations and all no good.

We are heading up to the service center over Memorial Day weekend. Can anyone tell me whether or not they have water and sewer at the sites.

Finally picked up the 36RKSB in the freezing rain in AR - headed southeast as fast as I could! Just terrible weather for many.

Turned out I had plenty of clearance to the bed rails. That said, I...

I too have a bed cover - we'll see how that goes. Since your F450 is a 2020 then I'm assuming your hitch height is 19" same as mine? I'm not sure what the rail height is on the F450. Mine is a...
