Try to help

I'm no expert, but I'm wondering a few things. If you turn your breaker on and replace the fuse and turn the AC on, does it work? Where your 3amp fuse is, is there power to it all time? Could...

Run while you still can!

Looks like you're losing insulation (or about to) from the under belly. Don't like it when the siding is cracked, torn or whatever and the front is sure chewed up. Cost a bunch to fix it up.

My wife is having some health issues and I just had a bout with cancer. We haven't sold the house, but we take the camper out as much as we can. I would say go for it! You've had a tremendous loss...

Do you have 120 volts going into the converter? Do your 120 volt appliances work? If you have a gas/electric fridge it can run on 120 volts but it needs 12 volts for the controls. So does the hot...

That would make me nervous!

Has the campground called an electrician to check things out? I'm no expert and will admit it so don't beat me up, but I wouldn't hook our camper up to that. The electronics in the newer models are...

That is kind of odd!

I though I was the only one that weird things happened to!

I'm wondering if the fresh water tank is venting? Can you see the tank? If the pump was taking water out and the tank wasn't venting...

What I got

I thought I would give you some actual figures from a scale ticket for our truck to give you something for comparison.

We have a F350 dually King Ranch with the 6.7 and a 44 ft toy hauler (triple...

Better checkem!

Probably have to pull the hubs off and look. If your 5th wheel is a 2000 it wouldn't hurt to check and/or replace them just to be on the safe side. Even sealed bearings can get contaminated with...

Something Loose?

I noticed the lights were acting funny on our new toy hauler and found someone had forgotten to tighten the battery cables. I would check for loose connections and grounds first thing.

Big Dumper!

I take a 5 gallon bucket of hot water and dump it in the toilet as fast as I can. That seems to knock loose anything that might be kind of hanging up in the tank. A lot faster than filling up the...

Really like the Ford Super Duty

I had a 2016 Ford F-350 crew cab, dually, Lariat and really liked the truck. I traded a few months ago for a 2020 F-350 crew cab, dually, King Ranch and it is great! Really like it so far, gets 1-2...

Trouble!

Our first Splendid dryer sounded like it had gravel in it and it lasted about 15 minutes, the replacement was kind of noisy but I hadn't owned one before so I didn't know what "normal" was. That one...

Smile Good to know!

That was good timing. I got the class A a few years ago but just bought a toy hauler and heading for Glamis in December. Got a new toy!

Talking Nailed it!

In Kansas if your gross combined vehicle weight hits 26,000 lbs you need to have a Class A license but it doesn't need to be a CDL (commercial drivers license). A written test and took a DL examiner...

Cool Not wild about tight turning radius!

Hope I don't get blasted for this! I try to avoid making really tight turns in campgrounds or anywhere else for that matter. I would rather pull up and back up a time or two and avoid putting a lot...

On my truck!

I had one of the front wheels on my truck get a crack from the valve stem hole. First one I had ever seen, replaced under warranty.

That was Brutal!

I got hailed on a couple of years ago, didn't even want to go out and look afterwards. About $20,000 to make me whole again, luckily the truck was in the shed at the time. Just the 5th wheel. ...

A little Optimistic!

My 5th wheel weighs 16,000 lbs just almost exactly. There are 12,000 lbs on the axles and 4,000 lbs on the hitch. Verified numbers from a CAT scale. It does have a generator up front which I'm...

Think it's Great!

Got the card last year and I like it. We pull a big 5th wheel and you don't have to worry about getting in and out of truck stops , the savings are great and I'm not worried about getting a load of...

I had an 06, with the LLY and put 487,000 miles on it. The only time it failed me was when it blew a small hose on the backside of the engine going to the oil cooler. Anti freeze everywhere! I...

Call the Cops!

Don't know where you live, but in Kansas we have state troopers that check VIN's. They have guides for auto's....maybe RV's as well.

Love the room!

I've thought about switching to a motor home but when I get in one I miss the all of the room we have in our North Point. Sometimes you and the significant other can need a little space. ;)
