Charlie & Sue. When I took the trim off I left the blind and all on the trim. Made it a simple job. I used a air nailer to put the trim back on. Make sure you get a new seal with the window.

Picture didn't work so I'll try to explain it. Mine has a gusset welded to the spring shackle and to the frame. It's about 6 in across on top and goes down to within an in of the bottom of the spring...
