This is not to complain. The light in the fridge went out...so DH decided to replace and found that the light was staying on. DH concluded that it was faulty switch...called Dometic and got no help. We live in our MS and the nearest service was 100+ miles away...and DH has to work everyday. Called DT and was told they have contract with Dometic not to do anything, let Dometic take care of their own.
Well, DH comes home frustrated...looks at fridge ready to pull it all apart, says in the process that he had looked at the manual and found no part number, etc.
So I (the writer and wife) say "Look at the book and the schematics." Well, DH has the knowledge of electricity, and as he reads he notices...the LAC switch. He turned it off, LAC switch, and then he checked the voltage to see if it was still on the light...and low and behold...no.
In other words, when you turn the LAC on - the light in the fridge stays on...to help with cold weather...anything below 50 degrees and you are suppose to use this switch.
DH actually turned to me and thanked me for showing him to look in the book and read the schematic...could not be happier!!
Fridge works, things are nice and cold....looking forward to seeing in the fridge for a cold one. Cheers.

Glad it was a simple Fix. I'm the researcher in the family, David is the fixer. I find the issue, research the solution & he fixes it. Makes for a successful relationship & two Happy Campers. 8)
