We have the 2006 38RL3 and hubby is wondering if there is another furnace filter other than the one over the pantry doors?

He went to clean filter above pantry and it wasn't dirty in the least and we have used furnace all last winter and now this season....just seems it should have been pretty dirty.

Kent had told d/h that there was additional air supplied out of the basement and that didn't make sense to d/h. Is there possibly another filter for the furnace somewhere.....he has looked all over unit and can't find it anywhere???

Didn't have anything else to do this morning...looked for a second filter, didn't find one other than the one over the pantry.

We did put the floor register filters in last year and I replaced them this year. Maybe that is why our pantry filter is clean.

I also put electrostatic filters in the AC return vents and they really kept the dirt out of the AC system.

Our rig doesn't even have a filter over the pantry, just an open register. With the gap in the wall from the bedroom sliding door it's a moot point anyhow as that is open to the basement. There is plenty of return air volume at that point and it's also unfiltered. The only filters we have are the foam filters for the AC returns.
