has anyone had problems with the big fuse between the Xantrex and the batteries? Ours keeps blowing. they are expensive and hard to find even in the biggest cities...and nothing works when the fuse is blown...so carry a spare!
the first fuse was 325 AMPS and blew in Denver. couldn't find the fuse anywhere so bought a new block and 350 AMP fuse. that lasted until san diego and it blew again. I am worried that there is wire overheating somewhere, have called DT, Dealer and Xantrex and they do not seem to have an answer. thank cyndy

The only thing to draw that much power is close to a dead short in the system on the Xantrex side. It could be in the auto switch not disconnecting the 110v output fast enough when hooking up to shore power causing feed back. Be sure to manually turn off the Xantrex before connecting to shore power and see if that helps. I have known of 3 Xantrex to go bad under warranty, have it checked out.

Xantrex is a brand of inverter that has a charger and switch built in. When not hooked to shore power it will convert 12V DC to 120V AC.
When on it will convert the power as previously stated so you have 120V AC for dry camping. At the same time it has a built in switch to stop the AC output of the inverter when you plug into shore power.

These are usually used with multiple batteries and solar panels for people that like their comforts when boon docking. :D
