Bike Rack and Ladder

Factory Bike Rack
Can't put two bike on with the ladder in place
Since we've sold the garage (and House), I have 3 choices.
1. Leave one bike on the side of the road.
2. Leave the ladder at the side of the road.
3. Fiqure how to stow the ladder in the MS.

It's too long to go into the basement.
Suggestions Please.

Let's see if i can explain this right.The piece where the tire goes in by the ladder slide on when you have the rack mounted.I first tried to put it on when everything was together but wouldn't work.

there is a commercial hook system that lets you hang chairs (and maybe a bike?) from the ladder.
you can go to a hardware store and get bicycle hanging hooks intended to be mounted on the wall of the garage and clamp them to the ladder with hose clamps also.. just hang one bike by the front wheel from a high rung of the ladder.. I don't know if that would work but it sounds good... worth looking at.. I am going to have to figure out how to mount our new tandem( that is spelled bicycle built for two) somewhere.. it is 8 ft long so the options are limited..

You could dump your current setup and do like we did..... buy a bike rack that fits on the front of your 5th wheel, via the hitch. Go to this site to see the pics of our setup. PS... the bike rack is out of Canada.

Two things about the bikes on the back, the factory hitch rack has been known to fall off (hitch itself) ask Mike, Motor 31 Maybe if the hitch was reinforced so it would hold together better??

The second thing is the ladder racks, the wt of the bikes rip the ladders apart in short order. These ladders are barely strong enough for the occasional climb!! There have been several posts about this happening.

These reasons may be why many have gone to mounting them on the front. The one Judy posted looks great! Also See Bruce's, Bstark photos. I think he made one.

Where is it available? Is there a website for the manufacturer?
Is the flower pot/flowers optional equipment or standard?

A 7' step ladder will fit in my basement...that is tall enough for me to reach the top of the rig...if I stand on my tip toes!

The bike rack hitch that came off of my rig didn't fall apart. The hitch is still in one piece. It came off of the trailer because of a lousy welding job that wasn't up to the job of holding the hitch in place. Pretty much the same as for the shock absorber frame mount. Because it hung down so far beneath the trailer I didn't put it back on the rig.
