Our new tank has arrived and we should start the install later this week. Check back and see how it went as well as how we did it, what was needed, install photos & more....

The tank finally arrived from Forest River and we've got it installed. Attached are some photos of the install.

Excellent install. one little tip go down to the local hardware store and get a double female garden hose adaptor and put it on your fill spigot and tighten it down so it wont come off.Just in case you forget or dont have access to your double female hose.
Now come up with a trick install to get that spare out of your back-pack
so I can steal that idea from you to!

We are working on that now. The 29BHBP sits high enough that I think it will fit just fine with some sort of a bracket welded under the very front compartment.

I must be foggy, I can't find the link for the pictures. Fog must have cleared, cause they poped up. How did you hold the tanks up. I don't see any straps.

The tanks are T shaped and hang from 3 pieces of angle iron.
One in the middle and one on each end.

Tha factory used a small thin piece of angle so I replaced it with much heavier pieces.

Tha factory used a small thin piece of angle so I replaced it with much heavier pieces. They must have changed in the 2006, cause mine has straps (31qbh). When you fill them (mine is the one that has the 30 gallon capacity) the tank sags down from the strap about two inches and pushes the bottom covering down the same two inches. It allow you to look in and see the straps. I hope the dealer can do something about my problem.

A friend of mine has a Work&Play which is made by Forest River - I think -- and the fresh tank is installed with straps also. When its empty it doesn't touch the straps but when full it sags down and the straps prevent it sagging further.
