Hi all,

My ice maker still isnt working. I looked through my paperwork and found a parts list but no installation manual. Im ready to check for power everywhere but need a wiring diagram and how to manually make it cycle so I can check that. Can anybody supply me with that info?

The wiring diagram is usually inside the front cover. I don't know what brand the ice maker is but most front caps just pop off. That should also expose the gears. The small one may have a screw driver slot to manually turn. If not manually turning the large gear in the direction of the arrow about 1/8th a turn and it should start the cycle if all else is working.

Make sure the wire arm that tells it the cube tray is full is not locked in the upper position.
Hope this helps out.

Hey Tom,

Make sure the ice maker is plugged in. Ours was not working and DH discovered it was unplugged.

Ours also has a shutoff valve located in the cold water supply line under the sink. Be sure this valve is open. If it isn't and the lines are empty, it will take quite a few cycles to get water up to the icemaker.

Our icemaker has a cover on the front that can be popped off. Under that cover is a knob that can be turned (to the right, IIRC) to start an icemaker dump/feed cycle.

Woooo Hooooo I HAVE ICE!!!!

After dismantleing everything I started tracing wireing and discovered that the black wire I had plugged in to the water solenoid was actually a VERY dark brown one. Switched the black & brown wires and I'm makin ice.
