Next week is my third attempt at a PDI. This time I'm taking it and doing my own warantee repairs. (Yes like others even the dealer can't get the A/V to work....a rainy day project for me I guess). Anyway one thing that looks like it will need constant attention is the granite stove cover. The glue just can't hold the granite to the lift mechanism. Anyone tried a glue that they have had success with?? The display models in the showroom have the same problem.
Our granite cover has a 1/4 inch gap on the right side. Looks like they tried to shim it to fix. I would guess they just glue the granite to the lift assembly. It will probly fall off some day.

I used Gorilla Glue the second week we had our ES....the Gorilla Glue has really, really, really held. Have not had to touch it since.

Picked up my unit today and you guessed it.....The stove cover fell off the first time I raised it. Bought some Gorila Glue on the way home...will try it this weekend...(pricey stuff that glue) Hope to hook it to services soon to see if the mechanical stuff works (water pump A/C etc.) No services for PDI so only saw the cosmetic problems.(which are not fully resolved after 3 PDI attemps). Love the unit but dealer I won't be going back to.
