So this happened 2 years ago this is on my 2004 Drv 36tk3 was hooked up to well in fact same well hook up didn’t use water and came in n shower drain was filling up like I said I didn’t use water to fill gray tank but it’s full ? What is connected as to a over pressure valve somewhere? So it was hot summer the first now it’s 15* out any ideas thanks!

Trust me nothing was running so does fresh tank have a overflow that would drain into gray tank thinking the well pressure is passing pump or some other connection the valve to fresh tank should be closed going out to confirm it

So just thinking is there any connection like a overflow from black to gray is toilet stuck (have had that valve stick before) and filled gray ? I’m not the smartest but not the dumbest either it has me thinking how? If it wasn’t 15* I would dig deeper before asking all these theories

Sorry typing out loud the toilet would overflow so that can’t happen

There is no overflow in any relatively late-model RV. I would also guess not in any old RV either.

This crazy when I figure it out I will let ya know it’s really not possible but let me tell ya this is the second time in 2 years the only thing is my well on the farm is where it’s happening at when I had in upstate ny never happened

Did you buy the trailer new?
Is there a reverse osmosis system installed?

Not new to me but one owner but don’t think they installed it I spoke to them the first time it happened it’s 2004 only one thing in common is the well hook up n I don’t have regulator on it I know! But still it seems physically impossible for this to happen, my daughter lives in it and that are sick so I don’t want to go inside yet to figure it out yet! I mean it’s crazy but I’m telling ya it’s happening I will look at things today getting to 39*

So I will install regulator today maybe a valve behind shower leaking but don’t know how it’s getting to the drain

Water pump.

So since I’m not totally convinced about the fix how would the water pump not being used feed water into gray tank I’m all ears I know like I said it sounds impossible but I’m telling ya it did it one before

Had it happen to me. Neighbor knocked on my door and said water was pouring out. Sure enough it was coming out the vent. Inside the water pump there are check valves that can go bad and allow water past into the tank. Replaced the water pump and all was well.

Awesome I will look it over it can make sense since it only happens at my farm hookup n I don’t have regulator but will tomorrow thanks I will look closer!!but I’m telling ya it happens

A leaking water pump check valve would fill the fresh water tank, not the gray tank.

Yes I understand fresh tank but like I said more water was overflowing then the sink dripping can’t explain anymore but it happened twice 2 years apart and only common link is the well on my farm, sorry to get everyone thinking but I will post if I ever figure it out thanks!

Sorry I didn't see grey tank, forget the water pump.

I just saw your 1/13/22 reply that said something about a dripping sink. If the sink faucet is dripping, that will raise the water in the gray tank. All the water that goes into a bathroom sink, shower, washing machine, dishwasher, outdoor sink and kitchen sink will drain into the gray tank. The black tank handles the toilet only.

Whether the water comes from a well, or city water supply, makes no difference. It has to go through one of the items above to get to the gray tank.

I hear ya but the amount that was overflowing was way more then the dripping but it’s probably it I wasn’t inside they were sick but this happened to me when I first bought it n it was summer n I was working on it n it overflowed n I couldn’t figure it out then so go now all’s good but I’m telling ya something I can’t explain happened twice and I know it’s impossible but when it first happened I had nothing running but will leave it alone I know it’s impossible!
