Did not realize that bedroom slide not totally extended out, found that problem was air conditioner vent above bed had fallen onto slide, 4 by 8 inch metal vent and had jammed into slide wall. I can hear motor run for bed slide out but will not move, what type of repair is required to get slide to go out and in

You can't get movement either way? Can't bring it in some and remove the vent?
Slide wall? Is the jam on the slide top or on the side? Can't visualize this. Any chance for a picture?

I have removed the vent that was stuck, I hear the motor running but slide is not moving, believe the gears are broken if gears or carter pin sheared like a snow blower auger, but not sure ,so asking if anyone else has had this problem

Hydraulic, correct? Or electric?

Hydraulic slide

Thinking from memory--have you looked under the bed? I seem to remember the hydraulics are down there, or the ram is. There is probably a shear pin (bolt) somewhere that broke when you jammed it.

The mechanics will be found from your outside compartments.

Ron,
Where are they located for the bedroom slide? Can't remember access to front mechanics from outside.

Yes, and the 'mechanics' will also be found in the yellow pages. :D

Our DRV has cable operated slides, which sounds like yours does not. I can say IF your DRV is set up similar to our old 2011 Montana there is a false bottom under the bed, under the storage area there. Pull that up and you should find the metal apparatus for you hydraulic system. The ram is there and you should easily see if there indeed is a sheer pin and if it's intact. I can't remember if our old trailer had a pin or not but I did have to go in there, we had a loose fitting and we were loosing fluid and having trouble with the slide staying all the way in while in transit.

I hope this helps in some way.

Believe Dan is correct--clear underbed area and pull up floor. Hydraulic ram should be on left? side and you will be able to see how it operates, I think. Had an '05 and that is how the slide was built.

Open the big baggage door on drivers side look above you. I remember doing adjustments on our 07.5 36SB3 in that area.

Cummins is correct. You access it from inside the storage compartment, not from under the bed.

If Bill and Cummins agree on something, you can bank it...

Do the other slides work ok?

When you say motor running, assume this is the hydraulic pump motor?

Does it sound like it's running against the pressure relief valve?

Will the slide wiggle if you push it back and forth by hand (or does it seem stuck solid)?

The bedroom slide has no rack and pinion (no gears). It's just the hydraulic ram connected to the slide toward the front IIRC. The adjustment is from the basement but access to the slide attachment is through a removable panel under the bed.

This is how our 07 is. Yours may be different.

Any progress on the repair? What did you find or do?

He hasn't been back since 5-24. Love it when they ask for help and never come back to check responses.
