Greetings all!
First time posting here but long time Rver. We are full timing in our 2018 Mobile Suites 38RSSA for the second year. 11th year of full timing and loving it. Having trouble filling our fresh water tank. This model does not have the exterior fill like our past units. It is operated by a valve that goes from city water to fill tank. Problem is that there is apparently no ventilation for the air to escape as the vent hole starts shooting water about 6’ when the valve is turned to fill tank. Tried opening faucets in he rig during the fill process but to no avail. When the valve is in the fill position there is no water going into the coach. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? Or is this not an ID 10 T error?

When you write that the water is squirting out the vent hole, suggests that the tank does, and should, have a vent hold. But now, why is it instantly squirting out . . . two thoughts come to mind: 1) The tank is full regardless of what the level indicator shows; 2) the vent tube going into the tank is laying on the bottom, so as you pressurize the tank, the water goes directly into the tube.

Dr. D--
Very logical thoughts.

BWilson--the drain line for the fresh tank is directly below the Kantleak valve where you are trying to put water in. Behind the water manifold down deep below maybe some insulation. Find it and open it--if water comes out, maybe D is right, tank may be full. Lots of time you will get water burping out that vent while filling--try slowing down the spigot feed control.
Had a '15 RSSA, they are all the same on water feeds.
