We own a 2017 drv memphis 44 and would like to clean the dryer vent from the outside. Does anyone know how to remove the dryer vent cover on the outside?

We have an Elite Suites, full body paint, and that vent doesn’t come off for cleaning. I clipped a small section of screen out so I can reach in with a set of pinchers and clean out any lint.

While in Indiana I picked up at Menards a flexible shaft vent brush, made to use with a drill on low speed.

Turn on dryer, run brush from outside, stand to the side :-)

Interesting idea but in my experience the run from the dryer to vent is short and straight. The only place I get any buildup is at the vent screen itself.

Guess all trailers are different then.

Ours benefited from using that brush.
BYMMV

My first experience with the Splendide dryers was when I bought a used '15 RSSA. Dryer quit drying soon afterwards. New one worked well, then seemed to be getting worse at drying--decided to clean vent, found the flap locked closed. Apparently, previous owner/dealer never checked it, probably why first dryer went out. Dug out lots of lint, now no problem other than slow times for 110 dryer, and vent is easy to clean after use.

I know our flap is working. Do you have a special way of cleaning the vent? We have a vent brush that is attached to an extended handle and I was thinking about wrapping it in something soft, so as not to damage the dryer hose.

Our vent line is only about 6" long, rest is thru the wall. Easy to clean.

Did you see the brush I linked to above?
The bristles are soft and won’t damage the vent, unless you get rammy with it and push it through the hose.

They all come off. I know they have used different brands over the years, so yours may be different from mine, but on mine:

1. Take a razor and cut the paint and caulk around the outside edge
2. Tap lightly on the bottom edge, pushing it up slightly.
3. Swing it up like it is hinged at top.
4. Pull outward.

It went on so it has to come off in reverse no matter the brand or type paint. It was actually probably installed after paint and caulked on.
Good luck

I hope y’all see this reply. My dryer vent hose has detached from the dryer. The only way I can think of to fix this is to pull the exterior vent cover off and reach in to reattach it.
How do I get the vent cover off?
Any other suggestions?
I’ve attached photos. One is behind the dryer, inaccessible as far as I can see, one is inside the vent shot from outside and one is the cover.

Pull the dryer and use one of the magnetic dryer hose connectors.

If you have the Whirlpool Dryer and you remove and clean the lint filter that is NOT all that you should be doing! My dryer was not drying well so I started looking for a replacement and the guy at Lowe's said to look behind the filter there is a wire screen that could be blocked. Sure enough it was basically clogged from 6 years full time use that the small amounts that passed the filter had added up. Still working like new after 8 plus years full time usage.
