View Full Version : Looking for A/C ceiling vent

I think most all of the DRVs I've seen have the same round A/C cream colored vent. Looks like it just pushes up into the ceiling A/C duct. My luvers are broken one one of them but I can't seem to find a correct match.
Anyone know of a vendor for this part?

Have you tried Greg Weldon at DRV? He runs parts and these vents have been pretty much the same over the years.

FYI the outer ring snaps on and off. The attachment screws are under the ring.

Thanks for the info. I have sent a email to Greg about the part I'm looking for.

I do not think Greg has anything to do with parts any longer. If I remember correctly (?) he was promoted to another post, and a younger female took over parts for DRV and Cruiser. Do not remember her name. A simple phone call will end the speculation!

Bill, could be, but in Dec he was still handling parts and other stuff.

Walt, have they combined the DRV and Cruiser parts depts?

DRV is changing their whole access scheme.

Emails sent will be ported the correct person (and an oversee person).

Not use if it will be any better, don’t see how it could be any worse.

My list of problems with the trialer and all emails are copied to multiple DRV managers and yet none of them bother to add anything to Ed Fry’s handling of our repairs.

I'm not sure but I think they did. She ordered me parts 2 different times and is a good communicator.

From the DRV SOITC.

We have some exciting news to announce. In a meeting last week with DRV Top Management, a topic of discussion was how to improve contact for Service and Parts for both the customer and DRV. In the past, all DRV owners in general, have used specific email addresses and phone numbers/extensions for who to contact at DRV. The issue here is, that as people within DRV change functions, this information can also change and with that, the information shared at rallies, on forums or facebook may also become outdated. Another issue is that by contacting only select personnel, response can be delayed until that specific person or persons can get to that request and then possibly even more delayed by priority and/or rerouting the request to the appropriate department. The solution to these issues is to centralize the contact points into addresses that will remain consistent for customers. Then by allowing multiple DRV personnel within each department see customer requests, a "team approach" can also be used to process or forward those requests as needed. DRV's vision is that by doing this, accuracy of routing customer requests will improve and by multiple personnel seeing those requests, initial contact response time will also improve. Priority will still be given to filling requests based on urgency and severity.

So the exciting news... there is an improved method to contact DRV, the"Contact Us" form at http://www.drvsuites.com/contact-us.html. This form is constantly updated as organization changes occur within DRV. Customer requests and/or information sent using this method will go to current multiple contacts within the selected department at DRV as well as the management teams. For additional ease of use or finding this contact information, the SOITC webpage, http://www.suitesowners.com now has a shortcut button in the upper RH portion of the homepage named "Contact DRV Parts, Service, Sales". When using this feature from either of the above links:

1.- Begin with filling out all the required contact information fields indicated with a red asterisk * .

2.- When you get to "Direct Your Inquiry" use the drop down box to select "Sales", "Parts" or "Service".

3.- In the comments box, begin by entering the model year, model number and VIN (vehicle identification number) of your unit, followed by your request, including any urgency or severity along with any additional information you can provide.

4.- When finished, hit "Send" and your information will be sent to multiple contacts within the department you selected, including management.

Thanks Duane
I guess I need to sign up with http://www.suitesowners.com.
I had looked at that web site before I bought my M.S. They didn't seem that active so that's when I found this site. I'm also on iRV2 but this form has been very helpful with M.S. questions.
Thanks to all that have answered my questions.

Unfortunately facebunk has just about ruined all the forums. The Heartland forum is still one of if not the best.

I used the DRV contact info & got a reply back from Lisa with a picture. Told her that was the one I'm looking for. Now just waiting on a invoice so as to pay.

Great that you have the system working for you. Would you mind posting the part number when you get the invoice-may help someone down the road.
Thanks

What was the shipping? I agree it APPEARS to be more but shipping may make it closer.. If someone wants one now it's an option.

Part was on back order. They have it now & was shipped out. Shipping to me was $13.47 so still cheaper than the one for $21.06 with free shipping.
Invoice will show from Cruiser RV not DRV.

Good to know!

If I wanted it now a simple click to buy and additional $7 would get er dun.

Got the AC vent today but they sent a much cheaper version. 1010

I've sent her an email so we'll see what happens. To me this would be the vent that would go in a cruiser RV

Mike, I've had pretty good luck with Ebay over the years. Always seems like it is safe, but I can't always figure out where the items ship from. I suppose 'how could you go wrong' for $6.50...:D
