Could be a few various reasons, tire sizes/wheel sizes, or they are trying to get the trailer to ride level with the truck. So in some cases spacers are added to the suspension or frame work to raise the trailer up to ride level when hitched to the newer trucks. For some reason the truck manufactureres are thinking tall bed trucks are better??

Storage, Slide design and tank location and other things dictate some of the height of the RVs.

Pick-up trucks seem to be growing taller each year. Pretty soon these will become more popular.

The original owner of my tow hauler used it to race in the desert. Flipped axles and 16 inch wheels. Works great with my 4X4 3/4 tons
