39dbrs3 bath door

Our pocket door into the bathroom will not stay locked in the open position. It has been replaced once because it broke the wood where the screw goes into the bottom of the door. I thought that was why it came loose but now I am sure it broke by sliding back and the lock pin hitting the block of wood. This week we had it worked on at the factory and at out first stop on the way home it was out of the lock again.
Does anyone have a 39DBRS3 that the door stays locked or is this a common problem?

Ours broke twice as well, repaired once by the factory, the other by me. I installed a bigger and longer screw with a bent over screwdriver at a slight angle. The problem is that the door is heavy which causes to much momentum while traveling down the road. After you repair the latch, go buy two shower curtain rods at Lowes or Home Depot that fit the distance of the gap between the door. Make sure they are tight, one on top and one on bottom. This is what we did for towing and haven't had an issue yet. Use the lock for parking only, not traveling.

Hmmm..........our new Atlanta will have 2 of these pocket doors, one all wood and one with glass surrounded by wood. I'm thinking I will need 4 curtain rods to keep them from doing the breaking thing.

Had same problem with our new 36 rssb3. I removed the metal plate they had at the bottom. I pushed the door back tight and drilled a 5/16" hole in the floor next to their locking device and inserted a 5/16" pin. That holds the door tight when we travel and we remove when parked. Earlier 5th wheels we had used this method to hold sliding closet doors shut. Worked for many thousands of miles.

The all wood door is hollow, this one should only need 1 rod. The heavy glass door has a solid wood frame which needs 2 rods.
