First post:

This next week DW and I are trading our old Jayco bunkhouse for a 2007 DRV 36RS3, with the idea of someday becoming full timers. PDI is scheduled for this next Thursday. At first blush the coach appears to have been well maintained. I have gone through this and a couple of other forums looking for things to be aware of when we do the PDI. Any suggestions particular to this model would be greatly appreciated.

Already learned a lot, and looking forward to having a great resource here when we need it. And there is no doubt we will need it...

Thanks in advance.

Really look over the bedroom slide. That era is famous for FALLING apart!

There is a Z metal pc that goes side to side under the bed that they use self drilling screws to install it to the wood and they become very loose over time also the visible bracket on the outside cam become very loose. DRV has a better bracket as a replacement that allows for a better connection.

Have them remove one wheel at a time and check the disk brakes. All my calipers were not sliding because they did not have any lube on the sleeves on the calipers. So the brake pads were worn on one side only. One wheel the pad was completely missing and the caliper was digging into the rotor.

Our MS was a 07.5 36SB3

Had a 2007 for 6 years.

I would upgrade the rims to 17.5 h rated. We had a blow out, crazy expensive on the G16.
The hub bearings should have been changed out, never lube means 5 yrs,
Check the slide tops for any soft areas, two of our slides were repaired for water leaks.
Check the toilet flange for leaks on top of b tank.
We replaced both AC
Replaced the water heater module and control valve.
Replaced the oven worn out
Check front cap, they turn chalky and need polishing
We replaced the micro wave worn
Replace brakes and calipers initial poor install.
We had axles aligned due to poor tire wear
Ball park resale sb about $40k or 35 USD
Make sure you have a dually to pull it.

Thanks guys!

PDI went very smoothly this afternoon. Can't say enough good about Wheel's RV in Springdale AR. Proud owner of a 36RS3, #3520.

Now can't wait to hit the road!

We've been doing business with Wheels RV since 2007, although we didn't buy our 2007 Select there. We did purchase our 2012 MS there. Great service department.
