Purchased a 2003 DRV Mobile suites and had delivered to a full time living site. Planning on living in it on site for two years while working. Driver had vehicle problems and was in big hurry to leave. Very quick orientation. SO confused so much info on the net. I am looking for a thread to an orientation video or someone near Mt. Vernon, MO who will do walkthrough in yours or mine. contact at campclark241@yahoo.com subject "knowledge". I check email daily but don't always get on the net. Thanks so much

I have an '05 MS 36TK3--will help you any way possible. But there aren't any unit specific videos I am aware of.
Are you having any problems as of yet?
'03 is first year they were made, you have a very early model.

It's all pretty basic stuff!...post up some pics and questions and I'm sure you'll get plenty of help!

You might also check out an RV dealer and go through several units and ask some questions there!

Thanks, especially to Wingnut for spending an hour on the phone with me the other day. I feel much better. As I come up with more questions I will let you know.

I'm a new owner of an experienced 2004 36 TK3, I can't find the valve to empty the fresh water tank, anf funny but true, the previous owner does'nt know either, in the owner's manual, they talk about about opening a valve in the service section, I do not see any such valve in the water service panel.
Thanks for your help

I also found out that all the electrical outlets on the face to door slide out including the fridge are on the same 15 amps breaker, is that normal?
Thanks

On my 07 it was behind the sliding door on the off door side. I had to reach down under the insulation near the back of the water heater. It was just above the bottom coroplast which forms the bottom of the trailer.
If you look under the trailer (below the water heater) you will see the pex drain exiting the underbelly. The valve is just above that exit in the underbelly.

Thanks Netjam
That's where I have looked, but I had not reached down the bottom, and there is so much stuff there that we can't see all the way, but I'll reach down
Best regards

On my unit is was a clear plastic handle and once opened it took hours to drain the almost 100 gallons of water. Open the faucets and let it dribble out. It is below the insulation and visible when you move that insulation.

Stripit and netjam are right on--but you have to have a long arm and be a contortionist. It will be much faster if you use the pump to empty it into a sink and drain it right out the gray water tank.
But, as said, check straight down behind the water heater--it is down there somewhere. At 5'7" I can barely reach it with my short arms, and usually scrape my arm on one of the other valves/lines. There are also 2 other valves that are used to drain the rest of the system (low point valves) one each in the cold water and the hot water lines--they are in the same general area. You need to look hard and carefully at all the water lines and get confidence in knowing which is which, where they are coming from and going to.
You'll figure it out if you don't get too frustrated easily...

Sorry, got mixed up in the 2 different posters...

Yes, very normal to have a lot of outlets on one breaker, and few on the other. Not much you can do unless you have an electrician out who understands what you need done.
Several on the forum have made some mods to the electricity distribution balance, but not sure where I read about it.
It is a common industry failing and I believe based on economics--much cheaper to run one lead to many outlets than have two leads running next to each other. Very few mfgs/installers care about balancing loads on the breakers.
It is possible to trace which outlets/appliances are on each breaker, then work on the leads into/out of the breaker box to help reduce the number of items on each breaker--but...have an electrician do it.

Thanks Joe,

Too bad for us hey, but I'm surprised that manufacturers are not more concerned.......... we'll have to live with it

This problem pretty much exists throughout the price ranges--getting a high-end unit does not necessarily mean you can easily run everything in the trailer at the same time. However, I think some units are now coming out with more amp-drawing appliances/items than a 50-amp outlet can handle, so not surprising some complaints are voiced.
I don't know how the 3 AC big trailers are wired--don't think all 3 can run at same time?

On the three AC's, I think they are wired to where there are least two of them that alternate on and off, so three aren't running at the same time.

Could this be the valve to empty the fresh water tank, and if not what is this for?
Thanks

Sorry about that, I don't know why the pic did not come out, but I have found the drain valve and the pic was showing the relief valve
Thanks a lot guys

For years, we used one we got at a furniture store--but that has been over 40 years ago, so don't remember what it was/looked like.
Might look at the kids' bed section at a large furniture store...
