On our M/S the switches are in the panel behind a door where all the other switches and controls are. There is also a switch on the water heater for the electric heat. The by pass valve for the water heater is in the basement.

What year is your unit? Newer units use a two position valve to bypass the water heater for winterization. I presume that older units have a couple of valves behind the heater. Our heater selection switches are with the slide room switches etc behind a door inside the trailer.

My 2007 MS had W/H switches inside and outside and winterizer tubing. Your 2011 unit should have the same locations at the main control centre and water closet. Make sure you don't accidentally leave the pump on while travelling a small red lite indicated on the switches. Two switches gas to electric one at the water heater unit and the other on the main control centre. Recommend you disengage the electric at the water heater if you do not intend to use electric. The tank coil will burn out if no water inside with electric engaged. There should be a cotter pin to lock out the switch at the tank switch..

Flush, clean the tank and inspect the anode rod two or three times a year, or you will be prematurely replacing the tank due to calcium deposit.

Do it yourself or pay the dealer $80.

I don't know what year your trailer is, but on our 2010 MS 38TKSB3, the switches as described in the answer above is the same as ours. The one switch is outside in the compartment to get to the burner, and one might have to bend down to see it as it might be behind one of the burner lines.

As for the bypass valve, our 2010 has the two-position valve. It is located to the right of the whole house filter as one looks at it from the door on the road side of the coach. See the image below. The valve is the one with the red handle pointing down.
