The sensor decided to quit functioning, so a tip on the internet suggested spraying the ground wire by the the plunger on the roof side with lubricant to get the contact cleaned..

Did that and presto it now works.

This is my solution to the rain Sensors. I want my fans to be able to work in the rain.

Just bought three at Camping World. This is on my last MS. Fantastic Vent covers. I have used the other brands and these actually move the air and are easy to install and are top quality!

Do you have to drill into the roof to install?
Can you detach easily for cleaning purposes?

I sure like seeing the outside without the cover but a personal choice.

If you look at Cummins' pic, there are pins that hold the cover down. Taking these pins out allows the cover to pivot away from the vent cover itself for cleaning. These are very nice add-ons, and four of the original vent cover screws are used to hold the retaining clips for the cover.
You have to be careful in buying the cover--the normal covers will not work over a Fantastic Fan. As pictured, a Fan-Tastic Vent will work best over a Fantastic Fan.
There is also a Maxx Vent, I believe, that will work over the fan vents.
They do work well for ventilation during a rain event.

I just covered all three fans on our 39TKSB3.

Very easy install. Best fan cover out there by far and I have used the others.
