There is no water coming out of the hot water side of any of the sinks or tub in the 2007 38RL3 Elite Suite.... Just like that nothing. I went out and emptied the 12 gallon hot water tank and flushed out the tank thinking something might be stopped up but after completely flushing the tank out still nothing until I turn the green valve on where the water panel is but I get water but no hot water and I can hear the gas heating the hot water tank and the electric is on. I'm at a loss, Please help. Thanks

Would the check-valve on the back top of the hot water heater keep the hot water from flowing out to the faucets? Just saw a pic of another question on here and just wondering what a check valve does, and just maybe could it be my problem.

We had the same thing happen on our 2007 Select, yes, it is the check valve. Hope yours is easier to get to than ours was.

Thanks for your reply any idea where to get a check valve for a suburban 12de gas/elect and is it necessarry to have this valve? and does the green handle go down or up? Sorry but after working all day on this I'm out of options. It has always been something on this 07 never can we come down and just enjoy the beach....

The check valve is on the back side of the WH tank inside the basement area behind the sliding doors. Its not that bad to get at and remove.

Relieve the pressure and drop the level in the tank below that of the check valve. The check valve will be attached to the outlet port on the tank near top. Just trace the line to be sure what line you are looking for.

The hose is connected by hand. Then an adjustable wrench to pull the valve off. See if it has clogged up with crud, calcium etc. Maybe you can clean it up. A new one is around $10-20 at most RV parts stores. There are diff type fittings on them, so compare yours to the new one.

We have not had this check valve for years. I removed it and removed what was inside the brass nipple and re installed it. Someday when we need to winterize again I will replace it.

Thank you Jan,Thomas and Bill and Joan for all your help. I will be at the rv store when they open Monday morning with old part in hand. I worked on that water heater all day, and could not for the life of me figure it out, I knew my friends on 5th wheel forums could. Again thanks for all your help. I will let you know when it is fixed.

Has your hot water bypass valve been changed since you last used it? When we first got our 2010, I couldn't get hot water to any faucet, even though the water in the tank was hot. I asked about it and was told to change the hot water bypass valve.

Here is a photo of our MS showing the water manifold. The bypass valve is the red handled one to the right of the water filter housing. Mine needs to be pointing down to allow hot water to flow.

Again I want to thank everyone for your help, I was easily able to change out the check valve on the back of the Hot water tank. I used PB Blaster (The best stuff there is) on the old fitting... waited for a bit, then used my deep socket wrench and off it came.... The old fitting was clogged so bad there was no way to save it so I buried it in the bag of trash. I had already flushed the tank out yesterday so within 30 minutes I had the entire chore done. But...... putting the hot water hose onto the fitting was a bit difficult, because the piping is flexible, but still stiff, but I asked for help from above and on it went. Again thank you all, this job would have cost me a service call of 125.00, plus parts and labor, and more days without hot water than I care to think about. My cost 4.95 and 1.97 for teflon tape. Thank you! I hope that our summer will be peaceful and enjoyable and your's too.
