The Forum is heading out tomorrow for the Annual SOITC Rally. It's in McGregor, Ontario, Canada! (Just a bit South of Detroit/Windsor).

Hope to see some of you there!

Yup!
Over for another year. We had a GREAT time.
About 35 rigs pulled out this morning.
They will use the Auto Lane (this time) when entering the US.
Same thing if you come to Canada (even if you think you are a truck), use the Auto lane. Sometimes it also will say Auto/RV.
Next year the Rally is back in Goshen
See you there!

Mike, Maureen, and of course Percy!

Just came through Canada from the Detroit area to Conwell, ON. Crossed into Canada at Port Huron and sign said RVs in the Auto lane. At the Conwell crossing, heading back into the states, got into the Auto lane, wrong move. They stopped the Truck lane and had me move into it. Fortunately it was only one lane over, could have been three or four over.

So, looks like going into Canada you get into the Auto lane but going back into the US you get into the Truck lane???? Go figure???

Going to the SOITC rally, we used the auto lane into Canada. Coming back, two rigs ahead of us used the Auto / RV lane back to the U.S. One was stopped and lightly searched by random draw, the second was passed through after the normal questions. Then when we got there 30 minutes later, we were lined up on the Auto / RV lane when the guy directing traffic told us we had to go through the commercial truck lanes because U.S. Customs had told them to direct "all of you guys through with the commercial trucks". We had no problems, both agent and toll booth attendant seemed like they were expecting this to happen and were very polite. Guess it all depends on Customs regardless of what signs may say.
