Well, I just had my 3rd Goodyear 16" tread separation, This time the air didn't escape, but the tread tore up the fender as usual. This time it was the rear passenger side. I'm so sick of this. I keep putting on Goodyear's because at least they pay for the repairs. I understand Michelin doesn't do that. I know there has been discussions on 17.5" wheels that fit the original axles. Does anyone know who sells those? Also, I have heard that Goodyear is no longer making the 17.5" tires? Is this true?

I got my changeout wheels/tires from Scott at:

www.trailertiresandwheels.com

in Edon, OH. He is very knowledgeable about this type changeout.
Got mine done in '07 and have more than 20000 miles--no problem. Cost was around $1800 at the time.

The wheel/tire combo is almost the exact same diameter and about 1" narrower--4805lbs capacity.

I have seen noting posted in the media that goodyear is no longer making the 17.5" tires. They have a good demand for them in commercial operations so there is a definite market there. They aren't just for RV's.

They (17.5's) are still listed on the retail listings,,and are still listed on the Goodyear site.. Sorry for your troubles.
