We have a 2006 32TK3 (#2598) and a huge Sony TV on a swivel bracket.

Over the years/travels (we are part time) I kept wondering about the stability of it - TV is huge and heavy.

Well, I found out a couple of days ago when, arriving at a destination, I found the TV on the floor, bracket torn loose and hanging and a chair that
travels laying on the floor between the slides completely shattered. Desk and cabinet doors scratch a little.

TV, brackets, chair, etc now in a dumpster and we will be going to Plan B - not sure what that is! But sure is nice to have a break from the news for a while!

So, get rid of big, old TVs or make sure they are solid by design or aftermarket fixes.

We replaced ours a couple of years ago with a 37" (36.5" overall width) Vizio HDTV...much lighter, much larger....much better. Our opening with the trim work in place is 35.5", by angling the TV, we were able to squeak in into place....we now use a strap to hold it in place.

About the best I can do with the space here is a 26" and we are thinking of doing just what other people we know - MS or others - is simply lay it on the bed when on the move. Do that with the laptop and my good camera.

I really should have addressed it sooner but ....................

I changed out the old Sony in our 36TK with a 32" Vizio HD LCD. Has been working just fine, sits on the same swivel/pullout that the Sony was on. Could have gone bigger if I wanted to turn the TV in sideways to put it back in. I had heard about the heavy Sonys causing the shelf to collapse, so I opted to change TVs before it happened.
I have it bungeed to a bar I installed between the side walls for travel, and cover it with a big towel.

We took ours out and put shelves in that space and put a flat screen on the desk. Just like the newer models except it doesn't go up or down :-)

The new LED TV's are even lighter and much thinner than the LCD's. Plus they use less power which is important if boondocking.

We have changed over to LED's, the stick house went from a 46" Samsung LCD to a 55" LED. We also went from a 37" LCD to a 40" Samsung LED. Yes they are much lighter and very thin. As most know weight is a issue for most everyone... Happy Trails...

About the best I can do with the space here is a 26" ...

Take some careful measurements before you decide to go so small. We put a 26" VIZIO LED in the bedroom space that housed a 19". It's installed on an arm that David mounted on the side of the cabinet, but sits outside up against the cabinet. It doesn't move anywhere while driving.
